舞子さんと芸妓さんのお化粧方法の違いをご存知ですか？

舞妓/Maiko 京都の祇園を中心とした花街で、芸妓の見習い修行段階のもの。数年間の修行の後、芸妓となります。At Hanamachi in Kyoto, young women in the apprenticeship training stage of Geiko. After training for several years, it will be a Geisha.

＜お化粧の違い＞

  舞妓さんはアイラインも口紅も控えめで、髪には花かんざしを着けます。 

Maiko make-ups less eye line and only under lipstick, and she wears flower pillars on her hair. 

芸妓/Geiko 舞いや唄、三味線などの歌舞音曲の芸でお客を楽しませ、宴席を盛り上げる、おもてなしのプロフェッショナル。「芸者」のことを京都では芸妓と呼びます。

 In Kyoto Geisha is especially called Geiko. It is a professional of  Omotenashi to entertain guests with traditional arts such as dancing, singing and Shamisen at the banquet.

＜お化粧の違い＞ 

芸妓さんはくっきりと黒いアイラインを引き、口紅も上下唇につけています。

Geiko draws a dark eye line and  lipsticks on whole lips.
